It’s been an incredible @diasporaco birthday week that I’ll probably be talking about on here for weeks (you’ve been warned!!!). But this one is for 19 year old Sana that first ate at the @chezpanisse cafe with @shimuljaveri after reading/studying/obsessing over everything about Alice and California cuisine for months if not years (we were 10 mins late to the res and I was absolutely hysterical / thought I might die, the drama!!! 🙄).
I moved to the Bay Area a couple years later so inspired and desperate to learn from the movement of sourcing, quality and flavor that Chez inspired. So much of @diasporaco is the result of the deep generations long work on both continents that was done before us.
Bb Sana could NEVER have imagined that 10 years later, my not so lil spice company would be collaborating with Chez (thank you Varun!!!) on a spice-forward dreamy menu spanning the length and breadth of India by bringing arguably India’s BESTEST restaurant and chef @thebombaycanteen @chefhussains out to make serious flavor explosion magic happen!!! Will be dreaming of that Nandini Coriander crusted duck forever and ever.
