Movement 1 from Florence Price’s Sonata in e minor Florence Price remains one of the most prolific black female composers this world has seen. Price represents someone who, against all odds and societal expectations, composed music that has touched countless people’s lives, including mine. My rendition is far from perfect, but being at a point with this piece where I can feel what Florence Price meant in each note has been so fulfilling. 🎶
