Dogtor Luna here to remind everyone that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer so take care of yourself and get checked! The American Cancer Society no longer recommends self or clinical exams. They recommend annual screenings for woman 45 and older with screenings reducing to every two years after the age of 55. You can always get screened earlier or more than is recommended. To all of the strong women out there fighting this disease, remember you are not alone.
