Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Today, we honour the Survivors, the children who never made it back, and their families and communities, who have been impacted by the painful and tragic history of residential schools. Coloplast Canada acknowledges that we are located on Indigenous lands and we are gathering on land that has been inhabited by Indigenous peoples for thousands of years before us, through to the current day. We recognize that these lands include Treaties 14 and 22. Oakville, as it is currently known, is the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nations, Anishinaabe Nation, Huron-Wendat and the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. These nations are the guardians of this land. We encourage you to reflect and acknowledge about the land that you are on and to understand more about reconciliation.
