Who are we? 😎 What’s with the name Shady Ladies? 😎😎😎😎😎 Over 10 years ago, after dropping off our kiddos at summer camps, we decided to pick up our dusty 🎾 rackets and meet at our neighborhood courts to play tennis for fun. Some of us played in high school, some of us took a lesson or two back in the days, some of us grew up playing with family, and some never ever picked up a racket before. Anyways, we found so much joy playing and setting aside us moms some “me time.” We made it a regular weekly meet up to catch up on life for whoever could make it and years later we have logged tons of silliness, sweat, celebrations, laughter, milestones, and memories. On one particular day, see the last picture…our friend the amazing @stylinbyaylin was sharing about her visor which her husband called “the over 30 visor” and we said the bigger sunnies & shade the better. 🙌🏼😎 Then she jokingly said, because we’re “the shady ladies.” ♥️🧢👒🤠🕶️😎 The truth is, not only did we wear big shades/hats/visors when we played tennis, we actually only served on the shady side. You can probably tell we aren’t very serious even though we do have a very competitive league lady in our group, solid competitors, players and tennis moms. 🙌🏼🤩 TBH, we sorta judged the pickleball players in the beginning when one of our neighborhood courts was “transitioning” but during the pandemic we adapted, transitioned ourselves, and started pickling❣️♥️🏓 Again, all for fun and giggles. We live for fun, don’t take things too seriously on the courts when we are with each other & LOVE to celebrate one another. ♥️😎♥️😎♥️😎♥️😎♥️ You’ll see super throwback photos of us @bobbyriggsracketandpaddle when we decided to give pickleball a try years ago for one of our birthday celebrations and take a lesson with @callan_dawson and @steve_dawsonpball when most of their courts were still tennis.
