GLORY TO GOD!!! “all glory and honor belongs to no other but You alone God!!!” Today is such a bitter sweet day, as I ran my final race this afternoon, I was reminded of the the Lord’s faithfulness throughout my cross country career. There are so many things this sport has taught and shown me, and I can’t believe it’s all over now! From being the lone runner my freshman year, to seeing how this team has grown is such a blessing. My teammates are the most encouraging, dedicated, supportive, and loving people in the whole world. I still don’t understand how I got so lucky! Bennett, Allie, Mal, Ken, Kara, Lo, and Lindee, y’all are the bestest friends I could’ve ever asked for thank you for being sweet to your Aubully. I wanna thank Clay for every hour he dedicated to helping me get better over the past 5 years. Clay is the one who brings such a fun energy to this team, I have no clue where we would be without him! There have been a countless laughs, a handful of medals, and a LOT of tears over the years, but I couldn’t have asked for it any other way. I’m also so thankful for everyone who showed up today, or who has cheered us on in the past! Y’all are so kind and I’m so blessed to be loved by so many, thank you!! Lastly I wanna give a shoutout to my mom and dad. Mom, thank you for always encouraging me on and loving me even when I am a real booty hole. I appreciate everything you’ve done for me. I love ya! Dad (aka coach James), you have been my biggest supporter since day 1. You have pushed me to not only the best runner I can be, but also best person I can be as well. I’m gonna miss running miles with you behind me on the golf cart the most. You are my best friend and you have taught me so much. I know I can be a grouch, but I enjoyed every single practice, race, and mile I got to spend with you. Thank you for everything you did to help me reach my goal. I’m so glad we got to share this moment together! I love you. With that being said, I couldn’t be anymore grateful for how my season ended.
