To the man who worked three jobs and still made it to at least 10 minutes of every soccer game I ever played. He would show up in his Postman’s uniform, skipping his 1/2 hour lunch to let me know he had my back, always. Sometimes I would just see him in my peripheral, running along the side of the pitch, a blue blur in that uniform:). Then when I had a chance to stop and look around, he’d be gone, I knew he had to go back to work. But I knew he had been there, always. One of the most valuable traits my Dad taught me, purely by example, was the ability to find happiness in any situation or location. He’s in his early 90s now and still meets every day with a smile and a terrible dad joke. Even thru chemotherapy and various surgeries, he has Doctors and Nurses in stitches (eh, Stitches?🤗). I’ve fkd up a lot of things in my colorful life, but when it came time to be a Father, I knew if I could at least BE THERE, like my Dad always was for me, I would do ok. I didn’t realize that being a Father would be the greatest joy of my life. In fact, it would save my life. It ain’t easy, but it’s the best thing that ever happened to me. Thanks Dad, for showing me what a real father should be. Happy Father’s Day to all the DADS out there that show up for their families. Also to the ones who are doing the best they can, that’s all we can do👊🏽. . . #Dad #father #fathersday #familyfirst #family #mydad #love #life #grateful #pop #realman #example #loveyou #bethereforyourkids #showup #thankyou
