I refuse to feel privileged to live freely, to show my hair the way I want or to have the right to decide about my own body. It is not a privilege, it’s my basic human right! So much is going though my head right now. It scares me to see the decisions authorities make around the world. Women’s rights are being diminished and I’m worried where the journey is taking us. We see the movement in Afghanistan... we need to act now! Please my friends, followers, teachers, fans, inspirations... speak up. Especially my friends in the USA (your government is particularly moving into a dangerous direction) and especially my male friends. The world has become a village and our neighbor needs our help, his house is burning and if we don’t stop the fire it burns down the whole neighborhood. The problem is closer than we think. I grew up with a Muslim fatherl who would never restrict my rights of expression or education. This should be the standard not a privilege.
