🫶🏼 Something I have found interesting about pregnancy is how much it has opened me up for human connection! ✨ Normally I’m quiet introverted & dislike small talk about work, weather, or what’s happening in the news. So I tend to energetically close myself off especially around strangers. ✨ I had Jury Duty two weeks ago for 3 days straight. During that time I observed a room full of strangers keeping to themselves, on their phones, in bad moods, & rushing off to be alone the second lunch hit. Normally this would be my experience but since I’m pregnant I experienced so much connection & compassion. Many people approached me to ask questions, smiled, offered their seat, asked if I need anything, let me cut them in the bathroom line, shared their stories, & validated that I shouldn’t have to be there 😂 ✨ I know a lot of mom’s dislike the unsolicited comments, projections, & advice but I have been in awe of how easily humans connect when there is a safe relatable positive subject present!🤰🏼 ✨ I wish everyone got to experience this type of compassion daily.
