This was one of the greatest honors of my musical life - getting to interview the legendary Gilberto Gil @gilbertogil for the TV show I am hosting about music around the world. Peter Buck @rem joined us, and what followed was 45 minutes of Mr. Gil giving us the deepest insight and wisdom into the nature of music at a mystical level and how it affects our societies. Very few people have affected me in such a powerful way, which is perhaps why Mr. Gil is considered one of the "Orishas/Orixas", the highest saints of Brazilian music.
