This car was built by @superformancellc, which was one of only two manufacturers licensed by Shelby Motor Company when Shelby restarted their continuation series in the 2000s. So this is not a mere replica, but an actual licensed continuation Shelby Cobra. It’s a superb thing — “factory” build quality with subtle additions of modern tech that makes the car sharper and more usable than the originals. This particular car has been restored by Mike McCluskey, renowned Cobra specialist who worked for Carroll Shelby himself. It has authentic hammer-off wheels, disc brakes on all four corners, and no creature comforts to speak of. Its 408 Windsor Stroker was built by @craftengines and puts out 545 horsepower, and the car weighs just 2,200 pounds so... Areg acquired his Cobra in 2021 from a private owner in Ohio, then promptly drove it across the country to his home in Southern California. How many people can say they’ve done that?
