Cleanup days are about much more than picking up trash. It’s a chance for people to join in expressing their respect for our oceans and waterways. Today, there is no place on Earth immune to the marine debris problem. A majority of the trash and debris that covers our beaches comes from storm drains and sewers, as well as from shoreline and recreational activities such as picnicking and beachgoing.
