In the workshop we also had a few special guests each bringing unique insight and expertise into the convo. @herbtrawick talked about career longevity, nurturing relationships, taking your shot when opportunity presents itself and the gift of giving back. @beckermastering spoke about deep listening both passive and actively. How failures can shape your career positively, mastering approaches and the care and passion he has for every song. @deniskosiak gave a presentation focusing on his process of vocal recording, editing, melodyne, and getting sessions up to the high standard he does with every song. A lot of details go in to managing a vocal session. @teezio and I did a “fireside” chat focusing on career path and the journey. Like me he transitioned from tracking to mixing. Working thousands of songs enabled us to operate intuitively fast and over time, naturally developing skills on the mixing side. 📷 @therealbuffy
