📣 I’m humbled to announce that I’m one of the 27 NYC artists selected for @theshedny ‘s second Open Call, a large-scale commissioning program dedicated to local, early-career artists. My new performance, reimagining and challenging commodified East-meets-West stereotypes in dance, will premiere there in 2022. In this precarious moment for our field, I am incredibly grateful and energized by this artistic invitation. The Shed's continued commitment to early-career artists fills an important void in New York City. As I progress from institutional critique, I look forward to engaging and collaborating with the Shed's staff, curators, and production team in the spirit of creating a values-driven, post-pandemic arts community.
