After getting engaged in Central Park 💍, creative consultant and stylist @jamie.r.hunter and @ericsheehan, co-founder of surf brand @olacanvas, decided to wed in a multi-day celebration at the @MezzatorreHotel on the island of Ischia. 🇮🇹 ​​​​​​​​​ For her wedding day look, Jamie wanted to make her own bridal gown. She was inspired equally by a decades-old @maisonValentino couture gown and a @Rosie_Assoulin silhouette from a few years prior. “Rosie gave me her blessing to draw inspiration from it and run with it,” the bride says. “And, a good friend in the design world helped me source the most beautiful French Chantilly lace.” 👰🏼‍♀️ She worked with Rachel Dorn, a talented pattern maker, to make the dress. 👗 “She spent hours hand-cutting the lace, and we spent a lot of time placing it,” Jamie explains. “I wanted the gown to be ethereal in feeling and quite sheer so the lace would really stand out, and I spent a lot of time sourcing the perfect Italian organza as well as the pearls that would go down my spine in the open-back design.” 🤍@vogueweddings 📷: @giusmarano @monicaleggioweddings Venue: @mezzatorrehotel 💐: @popupflorist
