Let’s all be honest, rainfall spotted on the radar leading into your wedding week does not necessarily fill one’s heart with joy - no matter how blessed the omen! Here are a few words of wisdom from our gorgeous couple - Bethany & Shane: Tell us what were the most important aspects of your wedding day and which moments really stood out to you? There are so many but a few highlights would be getting ready with my family and maid of honour in the morning, the car ride with Dad & my brothers to Fig Tree, walking down the aisle with Dad while it poured, seeing my husband standing under the Fig Tree waiting for me and listening to his amazing vows over the huge raindrops on our umbrellas. It was the best feeling having all of our closest friends and family in the one space. The speeches were heartfelt, we are so lucky to have the friends and family we have! What would be your biggest advice to other couples currently planning their wedding? Once you have a date, book in all your suppliers! I planned my wedding from 11 months out and it was such an enjoyable process, I was never stressed and got to enjoy every step. It poured with rain on our wedding day but the more we embraced it the more special the day was. It was really different, romantic and the magic shone through. You’ve spent a year planning and organising with trusted suppliers, everything you’ve done will go to plan but don’t let the weather or anything else you can’t control, ruin your day.
