#DidYouKnow that our Sperry, IA facility has one of our three underground mines? After descending more than 600 feet in the elevator, our mining team uses drilling and blasting equipment to safely remove gypsum to be sent above ground where it is processed and turned into wallboard and other USG products! Here's a short video from last month when members of our Product Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams were given a tour of the Sperry facility and its expansive underground tunnels. Our employees go on trips like these regularly in order to create a deeper understanding and appreciation of the work that goes on at USG, whether it's atop the corporate HQ or down in the mines.
