The Port and the City are working in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the development of seven Draft Waterfront Adaptation Strategies. Each strategy varies in how it is applied to different parts of the waterfront. The seven Draft Waterfront Adaptation Strategies use different approaches to reduce flood risk and increase flood resilience, while managing the complex combination of seismic + coastal, stormwater, and rising groundwater hazards.
