For this week's ⬜️Firstie Friday⬜️, meet C1C David Ke, from San Jose, California 🌞. David is a Mechanical Engineering 🧑‍🔧 Major and a Robotics 🤖 Minor and is interested in applying his academic specialties to problems in space 🛰️. He wants to explore how robotics 🦾 can be used for space debris removal 🛸, sustaining human presence in space 🧑‍🚀, and harvesting resources from extraterrestrial bodies ☄️. David's favorite USAFA memory was travelling with the Blue Horizon Rocketry club 🔵🌅🚀 to NASA's Student Launch Copetition, where their hard work paid off, as the ⚡️Beat Army and Navy⚡️. When he is not busy with his academics, David enjoys reading fantasy and science fiction books 📚, working on personal robotics projects 🦿, rocketry 🚀, 3D printing 🖨️, camping ⛺️, hiking ⛰️, and traveling with his family ✈️. During his last 194 days at USAFA, David is looking forward to spending time with Blue Horizon 🔵🌅, as they make USAFA's first liquid engine rocket 🚀, finishing his mech capstone 🧑‍🔧, finally being done with grad school applications 📝, and learning cool things in his classes 😎.
