Review time! Today's strips brought to you by Drake's. Dish name: Fried Chicken Tenders. (Note: The only condiment used in this review is ketchup, other condiments included in the meal are not reviewed.) Breading: The breading was an average type that was thin and bendable in some areas, then crunchier in others, but there were also spots that had a lot of breading that had to be discarded for being too hard to chew. Because of its softness, there were also parts that came off because the breading was not melded to the chicken. The combined factor of hard parts and parts sliding off left me with quite a few breading scraps on the side of my dish, but that is not uncommon and doesn't take much away from the meal. Taste: Once again the seasoning on the chicken was similar to the fries (common in many restaurants), and tasting the fries gave me an insight as to what I was about to eat. The seasoning was flavorful and kept me eating it nonstop for a good while. The seasoning did start to feel less impressive after a while, but never really became too much or too bland, meaning I could enjoy the meal without having to take drink breaks after every bite, but also did not get bored of eating it. Meat: The meat was just the right amount of juicy, but that doesn't seem like the right word as it was a bit on the dryer side of "juicy", but, for lack of a better word, I will call it that. It was actual visible chicken and not blended like a nugget would be, but lacked flavor when not paired with its breading or ketchup. Overall: Although I was unable to finish my meal, I was very satisfied with how all the elements turned out. There were some parts that had a squishy substance I have encountered before (I believe it to be unfried bread or fat but I am unsure), but aside from that and the hard breading that had to be discarded, it was a good meal. The seasoning was great, and the texture of the chicken itself was satisfying. It paired well with the fries and neither were over seasoned.
