Happy #TransDayofVisibility 🏳️‍⚧️ In the wise words of @munroebergdorf, “visibility is not the finish line, it’s the starting point”, because it does not equate to safety, employment, or access. However, I continue to share some of the more vulnerable parts of my transition alongside so many others because visibility humanizes the trans experience to negate fear of the unknown, provides archetypes to give others permission to be themselves, and allows folks like myself to find much needed community and resources. So, an extra special thank you today to those who have come before me, and extreme gratitude for the support I’ve received while sharing my personal navigation in the complex experience of a nonlinear non-binary physical transition. Can’t believe it’s been 5 years since since the first clip in this video, and the journey it launched me into thus far. So ready for the next 5 years of magick ✨
