A message about masking at the march. Masks are expected to be worn. Please help us protect you, your friends and lovers, and immunocompromised and elder Dykes at the march. We recognize this is not a socially distanced event and not completely safe against COVID-19. We agree wholeheartedly in the importance of continuing to mask in crowded spaces, and would like the march to be as accessible and safe as possible. However, for an action of this scale we don’t have the capacity to enforce a hard requirement. We can’t claim in good faith that the march will be socially distanced or that masks will be required without the resources to impose consequences for not masking.
