“Limp wrist” by @travisgirlboyer. Cyanotype, dye, and embroidery on silk 24”x36” // Last year, Travis asked if he could go through my archives and potentially pull some old photos. I’m very honored that the result is these beautiful pieces that were a part of his show at @noonprojects. Travis blew up the images, made cyanotype prints on silk, then hand painted and embroidered them. I made the original photo in March 2016 for a series called “Actors Talk With Their Hands” in @mclayne.ycmat‘s highly legendary magazine project EPICENE. Queer stories folding and unfolding across time! Being dug up and embroidered and made new and into something more!
