Is there a more popular way to prepare dove than poppers?! But for a twist on a favorite, try em smoked! Recipe:
8 dove breast
8 jalapeño peppers
8oz cream cheese, softened
@hardcorecarnivore Tex Mex seasoning
8 slices bacon (NOT thick cut)
1. Clean dove and remove breastbone, then separate each breast into two pieces.
2. Slice the jalapeños lengthwise. You can leave the seeds if you prefer heat, but to make more room for cheese, scoop them out and discard.
3. Spoon some of the cream cheese into each half, then top with a dove breast.
4. Season well with Hardcore Carnivore Tex Mex seasoning
5. Place into a smoker or pellet grill running at 300f for about an hour, until bacon is properly rendered.
6. Enjoy your field to table snacks!
