Wow, this post is so much later than planned. Today has been non-stop and hectic. I probably used more explicative today than I have all year combined. But what brought a smile to my face, calmed my heart, and got me through the day was remembering that today is a celebration. 3 years ago, I took the first step on the covenant path back to my Heavenly Parents. I excepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and was baptized in his name, receiving a remission of my sins and a fresh start. It’s so funny that we think or rather hope that accepting Jesus would be like adding an easy button to our lives. Everything would be smooth sailing with zero challenges. It’s so human of us. I shouldn’t be surprised how today started when I think about the morning of my baptism. As I finished writing messages to my guest in the BOM I planned to give them, I got a call from my missionaries saying the church building AC was broken. Within minutes of deciding, we had to change the location, Sister Adams and Krogh had a new church, and I sent out change of address text messages. That moment unequivocally confirmed my decision. Not that I ever doubted my decision (except during my argument with @clarkemiyasaki over my baptism songs). It was proof that when challenges arise if we keep moving towards Christ, everything will work out. Which in my case were my closest friends and family dressed in white as I was baptized, followed by an IHOP brunch, a sick costume karaoke party, receiving the Holy Ghost, getting millions of new brothers and sisters from around the world, connecting with my new family because of a church video about my conversion, glowing from Christ Love and Light, making mistakes, and constantly benefitting from His Grace. 3 Ne. 12:2 ...... Yea, blessed are they who shall believe in your words, and come down into the depths of humility and be baptized, for they shall be visited with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and shall receive a remission of their sins.
