It is coming up to almost a year since my operation & I'm feeling so reflective on how much healing my body has done and how much healing has taken place in my mind too to how I feel towards my body. Never having confidence before. Always thinking I needed to be smaller to be happier. Never comfortable in my own skin. I'm starting to care less and less now because my gratitude for my body is so high. 🙏 Spurred on by my fearless 8 year old jumping first I did something I've never done before & threw myself off a boat yesterday. It was exhilarating, scary & fun! Having had cancer I say yes so much more now, I appreciate so much more now & I wake up every day knowing that life is for living. Because time is so precious. So metaphorically speaking I try to leap off boats a whole lot more and yesterday I got to do it for real!
