Yesterday’s epic unfurling of a 1:1 drawing from 1887 of a massive tile tableau designed by #GeorgSturm (and produced by @villeroyboch) for the facade of #PierreCuypers’s @rijksmuseum building in Amsterdam. Depicting the ‘Foundation of the palace at Nijmegen by Charlemagne,’ it’s one of 11 such drawings in the collection and will soon be restored and digitized as part of our Disclosing Architecture initiative. @nieuweinstituut @collection_nieuweinstituut
