This hotel room array is about half of the percussion booty that I bought between Rio and São Paulo (suitcases completely full, nonessential clothing discarded). This is not counting the various hand drums, timbals, bells, whistles, bird calls, and other assorted sound devices (outside of photo in cases) that are impossible to find in the American states, and quite hard to find in Brazil for that matter. The wicker shakers were handmade by a capoeira master who lives in the jungle outside of Rio (I bought out the entire store). The zabumba is also handmade. So my percussion colleagues, you are all getting care packages in the near future containing the percussive sounds of Brazil. @lisettegarcia333 @elizabethpupowalker @themattcameron @hectortellezjr @bradleyrocks @theblacktones
