🚨🚨Trail Closure Alert🚨🚨 Hurricane Hill Trail (3.2 miles) is closed again from August 15-26 for mountain goat removal operations. There are still some wonderful mountain trails in the area that You can enjoy though!: 🗻Klahhane Ridge Trail [pictured]: Starts from the main parking lot near the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center and travels along the ridge for 3.8 miles to Victor Pass. The first 2.8 miles only has 250 feet of elevation gain. Once you intersect the Switchback Trail, you have 1 mile left but you have to climb 800 feet. This trail is clearly longer than Hurricane Hill but the beauty of it is you get views almost the entire way. So you can turn around whenever you feel satisfied. Many people will want to turn around 2 miles in since a hillside may still have lots of snow on it. 🗻Switchback Trail: Park at the trailhead at milepost 15 (2 miles downhill from the Visitor Center) and hike the short but steep Switchback Trail to Victor Pass. This trail climbs 1.5 miles and gains 1,500 feet of elevation. Be safe and enjoy exploring some new trails in the Hurricane Ridge area!
