THE MOSS JUMPER 🌱
Exhibited at @sarabandefoundation during ‘The Anthropologist’ Exhibition.
70 x 88 cm (27.56 x 34.65 in)
Found buried in a construction site close to the Sarabande Foundation, ‘The Moss Jumper’ symbolises nature's attempts to rejuvenate the natural world. This garment represents hundreds of thousands of lost or forgotten garments in ‘The Human Residuum’. If left in the ground this garment, made of 70% acrylic, would take approximately 200 years to biodegrade.
Sash windows (sourced in Leicestershire), FIRETRAP jumper (labelled 70% acrylic 30% wool, Made in China), recycled label, thread, moss, water.
