The comedy world lost a giant over the weekend. Improv founder Budd Friedman sadly passed away at the age of 90, but his legacy will last for lifetimes! The Improv stages launched the careers of the “Who’s Who” in comedy, including Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor, Lily Tomlin, Billy Crystal, Andy Kaufman, Robin Williams, Joan Rivers, Eddie Murphy, Jerry Seinfeld, Tim Allen, Jay Leno, Chris Rock, Jamie Foxx, Jeff Dunham, Gabriel Iglesias, Dave Chappelle and so many others. It also launched the comedy dreams for many of us working behind the brick wall who felt the magic at an early age watching Budd host “Evening At The Improv!” Some of us were even lucky enough to work with the Legend and those memories will last a lifetime! Thank you Budd from the bottom of our hearts! You’ve given so much opportunity and support to everyone who had the privilege of performing in front of the iconic brick walls, and to all of us working behind it who will make sure it never cracks!
