It took me a full week to recover from last week’s Fujifilm X-Summit and Fujikina and finally process everything. I sit here incredibly blessed to be among such a talented group of really awesome people, which allows me to meet even more really awesome people—from the other ambassadors to every single person I’ve met who works for Fujifilm. From Instagram followers to all the other creatives I come in contact with. To spend time around executives who are just as passionate and excited about photography as you are, to meet people who are fans of your work, to rub elbows with some of the best photographers in the world and be considered their peer...I couldn’t ask for anything more. Selfishly, last week was such great validation of how far I have come, but also of how far I have yet to go. To live constantly inspired means living under an umbrella of hope, and hope is among the best of feelings to possess. But hope is unrealized. You have to relish the present, enjoying what is right now there within your grasp. As much as last week was about photography, it wasn’t. It was about family, and how much we missed each other. Or finally meeting in person people you’ve grown to love via Instagram and Zoom. I haven’t laughed as hard as I laughed those nights in a long time. It felt like I was around people I grew up with. And to think that it’s all possible because of a shared love for taking photos just blows my mind. This is why we create. To inspire others, to create those moments in the present. To capture them so that we can take them with us to the future. I’ve never been more inspired in my life to not only pick up my camera, but to enjoy every moment of my life All shot on the Fujifilm X-T4 and 27mm f2.8 II @fujifilmx_us @fujifilm_northamerica #fujikina2022 #myfujifilmlegacy #fujifilmx_us #fujifilmx_creator
