I remember early on in my career feeling insecure about doing things differently from the norm I would look around to see what everyone else was doing and felt like I was doing something wrong if I did it differently... But in the beauty world that’s just not the case. There are a million ways to get to the same outcome, and that’s when creativity really comes out! Some stylist never root tap some stylist swear by it. Some stylist love to balayage others create the same look but use foils to do it. Everyone has their own way of doing things and what works for them may not work for you, and THATS OKAY! The beauty industry is constantly changing and growing and new techniques are being developed daily! Just because you don’t do something the way another stylist would doesn’t mean you are doing it wrong. If it gets you great results and your clients love it, then it means you are actually doing something very RIGHT! Theodore Roosevelt said “Comparison is the thief of joy” so stop comparing and do you boo!
