Kicking off my substack with select recordings of telephone conversations I’ve had with my mom. Some are impromptu while others are a bit more planned— Initially, this came out of a want to archive our relationship and her voice. Now with these recordings in my possession, I’m realizing that I am building an arsenal of wisdom- ready for use when I need them. My mother’s voice has guided me through many eras and storms in this life— and though our relationship is not perfect, she is still the first person I call to when i’m feeling blue.
