🎉LAST WEEK WAS MY 39TH BIRTHDAY!! 🎉 Here’s the thing about my birthday. It’s the last of a very busy summer of birthdays, especially with Zara, Chris, and now Xya all in the month of August. So by the time my birthday rolls around on the 19th of August...I am party planned out!! Very willing to let my birthday slip quietly into the abyss. This year, @chrismorrison33 and @shanboody lovingly refused to let me off the hook. They called in @theculturedchef to come to our home and make my birthday dinner. He planned the whole menu, did all the grocery shopping, cooking, serving, wine pairing, and even cleaned up!! Better than any restaurant experience as I got to enjoy my family and incredible food in full comfort. So grateful to receive the gift of permission to be a human BEING on my birthday, instead of a human GIVING. What was on the menu: 🍔beef sliders with caramelized onions and cheddar cheese 🐑 balsamic brown sugar glazed lamb rack with a cherry reduction 🍚 risotto 🧀 macaroni and cheese 🥦 broccolini and other veggies I can’t recall the name of (sorry Chef 😞) 🍰blueberry and lemon bread pudding with Snikerdoodle ice cream and lemon sauce
