These next three posts are in honor of @sydneyymillerr_ , my best friend. July 4, 1994 – September 13, 2017. Have you ever met someone whose soul was so beautiful and radiant it filled the entire room? That was Syd. These photos were taken in 2017, and she loved them. She loved every minute of this photo shoot and being on set. It’s time to share them with the world, because it’s what she would have wanted. Sydney was in the middle of the ocean, dancing, and coming home to Wilmington to visit. We had done photo shoots and bridal shoots before, but wedding shoots—they were our favorite. We planned the shoot together—the dress, the “groom,” flowers, venue, makeup, hair, photographer, everything! That’s what normal best friends do for fun, right? Syd and I would joke around that we “had to play dress up” because “who’s going to marry our crazy asses anyway!?” We promised each other that on her wedding day, I would get her @wakenbakedonuts donuts, and for my big day she would sneak me pizza. Always giggling about not getting red sauce on my imaginary white dress. We loved the concept of love, we loved to dress up, and we loved to be “extra”. Thankfully, Syd loved to be in photos and was a model. She was my muse, and I could never have tired of painting the most beautiful face in the world.
