I got so inspired when my joyful sprite of a friend Lindsey asked me to create a cloak that she could wear on a trip to the solstice celebration at Stonehenge! Down on Santee Alley, we picked out two enchanting fabrics. She was drawn to a little face she could see in the details of the fabric, so I took special care to line up the seams to preserve the face wherever possible. It’s got texture, a giant fairytale hood, it’s lined, fully reversible, and has a hidden pocket under each arm, so I feel like I created a fantastic garment to suit such a magical woman. She’s so kind and thoughtful, Lindsey still texts me when she wears it and gets a compliment. I love knowing something I made is out there helping spread joy everywhere she goes. Oh, AND, Lindsey works for Zencastr (a company that creates high quality personal podcasts out of interviews) and was kind enough to interview my MawMaw about her early life.
