What’s your most memorable moment inside Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall? 🧡 #ThrowbackThursday to this time five years ago when we opened ‘One Two Three Swing!’, a wonderfully playful, gravity-defying commission by Danish artists’ collective SUPERFLEX. A gigantic swinging steel pendulum was installed above an expansive, colourful carpet, while a long line of orange swings weaved its way through #TateModern, emerging on the South landscape. One Two Three Swing! invited us to realise our potential together: audiences were invited to come together to play, swing, or simply to relax beneath the pendulum. Next week! 🧶 Tate Modern launches its next annual Hyundai Commission by Chilean artist and poet Cecilia Vicuña (b.1948). Perhaps best known for her radical textile sculptures, Vicuña combines natural materials and traditional crafts to explore the pressing concerns of ecology, community, and social justice.
