At just over 24 miles, it borders our corner of Ukrainian Village and calls home to a wonderful community of restaurants, bars, music venues, shops, and galleries. On October 1st, the Empty Bottle will open the Music Friendly Dancing fairground (Cortez St.) and host THEE BEST WESTERN -- The second annual block party celebrating our neighborhood, community, and the little slice of Heaven we occupy on Western Ave. There will be games for the kids (and adults), food, beverages, wares from our many wonderful businesses, and of course live music. Take a passport tour and explore all the wonders that THEE BEST WESTERN has to offer. Featuring : Real live music from Steve Gunn + Band, Floatie, Spllit, Gabacho, Fran, and Tommy Goodroad. Food from Pizza Friendly Pizza, Chef’s Special, and Taqueria Chingon. Pop-up vendors selling local wares inside & outside Empty Bottle! Photo booth, Dunk Tank (who do you want to see get dunked?), + fun & games for the whole family.
