October 13, 14, 15, 16 Théatre du Châtelet, Paris Tickets: link in bio In a double bill at the Théatre du Châtelet, Benjamin Millepied premieres a new work set to recent scores by composers Caroline Shaw and Andy Akiho, with sets by Barbara Kruger. For his first work after a two-year hiatus, Millepied creates an abstract dance piece driven by the progressive sound of Akiho’s percussions. Inspired by the qualities and energy of the diverse and outstanding dancers of L.A.Dance Project, Millepied showcases each one in a display of spontaneity and improvisation in its purest form. Specially conceived by Artistic Director Benjamin Millepied, the second program showcases 3 important contemporary visions of dance, including two world premieres; Madeline Hollander's Elastic Ballet, Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber's Quartet for Five, and Pam Tanowitz's 2019 work, Everyone Keeps Me. The entire evening will be performed to live music. Andy Akiho's score will be performed by GRAMMY nominated Sandbox Percussion. Elastic Ballet, Quartet for Five, and Everyone Keeps Me, along with Caroline Shaw's Score, will be formed by Eric Cambes, Olivia Hughes, Helene Levionnois, and Eric Levionnois.
