Share your love and support the local businesses. ​ About the producer:​ La Caravelle Champagne is a tribute to La Caravelle, the renowned NYC French fine dining restaurant that Rita and André Jammet owned. After the restaurant’s closure in 2004, Rita’s passion for Champagne has lead her to create her own Champagne named eponymously under the restaurant. La Caravelle Champagne was born. 3 different cuvees are crafted in Epernay, along with a red Bordeaux blend wine made in Listrac-Médoc. Through the wines, La Caravelle’s legend continues. ​ ​ What I have in my glass is La Caravelle Champagne Rosé Brut. Made from 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier, the wine is aged for 24 months on the lee. Displaying gorgeous deep pink color with hint of orange hue; generous red berries, red currant and red cherries on the nose with fresh herbs and bread dough hidden in the back. Tangy, juicy and refreshing.
