Throughout my 21 years in climbing, I’ve mostly been a boulderer. My foundation is built on short bursts of power and try-hard. Switching to sport climbing over the last couple years has been a whole new experience in holding on just enough - but not too much. Doing moves the smart way, not the strong way. It’s honestly been a much harder transition than I would have guessed. I am a strong climber but still working on getting smarter 😅 I love that there’s so many different ways to move in climbing. It’s an elastic sport you can stretch apart or push together depending on what you want to create. Right now, I’m shaping the endurance base I never really had.
