Happy New Year Instafriends!
.
May the year to come be filled with love, light, and prosperity for you and yours! I know the past year has been so difficult for so many reasons and gives us all a lot to ponder over and reflect on
.
I am not one for NY resolutions, but reflection I am all here for. So instead of spending January thinking about resolutions that are likely to break, or pretending I’m going to hit the gym hard, eat less, run more blah blah, I will be thinking about my year gone and doing a year in review. A review to reflect on my accomplishments as a mama, as a wife, as a Doctor and all the things I want to celebrate. I will reflect on the things I fell short on, the things I wish to change and channel my energy towards. The relationship I want to foster, the places I want to grow, finances, and importantly, the habits I need to leave behind. I haven’t done a year in review in simply forever, but it's also been something that in the past (Pre rona) has anchored me and helped me grow. So my January will be a time of reflection, connecting with my husband and making sure the pages in our book align and that we’re writing similar chapters
.
If you’ve never done a year in review, it is simply an exercise that lets you reflect on the people, things and experiences you’re grateful for, the lessons you’ve learned in the year gone and the stuff you’d like to do in the year to come. You can think about what makes you happy, what you need to let go of, and apply them to all the things in your life; work, family, friendships, and whatever else
.
I could not begin a year in review by not recognising the support and love you all have shown me, and I want to say a special thank you and prayer for all of you! Thank you for joining me in love, laughter, and sorrow; this place continues to be a little light for me and for that, I am truly grateful. You are all people I take inspiration from; the stories you share, your humanity, and importantly ,our vulnerability, so thank you!
.
I would love to know if you have reflected on your year and what you are working towards in 2023 and how? What are you taking forward, what or who are you leaving behind?
.
Love, Kiran.x
