I dedicated the last week or so to reflection and appreciation of the year just gone, this post is a reaction to that. In 2021 I feel that for the first I’ve started to become comfortable in my creative identity. I’ve learnt to (partially) let go of doubts when getting my hands moving on a project. I’ve learnt to allow touch and feel to guide what I make, letting the internal monologue decide the next step - gut instinct in some way. Tangibility and tactility have become 2 integral pillars within my process and I want to continue to evolve this. My aim is to take people on a visual exploration where they can escape from normality even for just a short period. I hope there’s some enjoyment within the chaos that I often spill. Being pigeon holed into one creative outlet is something I want to continue to avoid; everything will become a playground and I hope to learn so much more everywhere. 2021 was the beginning of all this, a real landmark for me personally and I want to show appreciation to everyone I created with - you’ve helped shape a freer me. I wonder what dreams we’re all going to continue to make together? More experiments, more chaos! More simplicity, more order! Love you all on here.
