Our turf wall or Klömbruhleðsla will be the first thing you see when you enter Sky Lagoon. Our turf layer specialist Guðjón S. Kristinsson and his team revived this ancient building technique by cutting heavy pieces of turf into tiles and then layering those tiles into a herringbone pattern. The Icelandic turf is mixed with ash from various volcanic eruptions making it especially thick and durable in all weather. It preserves the warmth you will find in Sky Lagoon all year round.
