One common mistake parents make around managing tantrums is thinking that their child will grow out of them. Don't get me wrong- most kids who have tantrums DO grow out of them. But not all kids. If your child's tantrums are becoming more frequent, aggressive (e.g., hitting, throwing toys), or just impacting daily life, it may be helpful to see a behavior therapist- even if it's just a one-time consult! Some of the most effective treatments for tantrums end around age 7...some are offered until age 12. But, after that, tantrums and outbursts are harder to "shape". So please don't wait to seek help if you're feeling like you can use some support! That's what we're here for! 💕 #positiveparenting #positiveparentingtips #mindfulparenting #mindfulmama #parentinginapandemic #parentingishard #toddlerparenting #childbehavior #tipsforfamilies #parentinghacks #parentinghelp #childpsychology #raisinghealthykids #raisingresponsiblekids #parentchildrelationship #supportforparents #adhdparenting #childhoodanxiety #childmentalhealth #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #maymentalhealthawarenessmonth #resilientkids #bepresentnotperfect #mindfulnessforchildren #positivediscipline #gentlediscipline #consciousdiscipline #intentionalparenting #parentingguide #parenting101
