So excited to announce that “PUSH IT” (the first single from my debut EP) is available now on all platforms. I’ve been messing around in ableton since I was about 18 and put out a few edits / remixes here and there, but I took a pause from sharing any new music in 2020 because I became very dissatisfied with where I was production-wise at the time. I knew that in order to get my music to the level I wanted it to be I had to really buckle down and give myself a thorough education of the history, art, and science of electronic dance music. I’m so happy to have spent the last few years with this purpose because the knowledge I’ve acquired along the way has encouraged me to adopt a much more elevated approach to DJing and producing. I’ve started experimenting more than ever, dabbling in hardware, sound engineering, and sampling records from various genres across four decades. It’s through this process that I’ve really started to find my own voice as an artist. The EP is nearly done but I wanted to release this single first because I think it really well balances some of my favorite house and techno elements from the project. It’s a versatile track that can played fast or slow & is just as groovy as it is bouncy and sexy. I know I still have so much left to learn, but I’m excited about this new chapter and where it will lead. I think that’s actually my favorite thing about this whole musical journey — that there is always something new to discover. Side note — This cover is special to me because it’s an image taken at one of my favorite @tunnel.worldwide parties that took place in February, the same I night I played this track in a set for the very first time. Feeling such a positive reaction from the crowd really gave me the boost I needed push through my anxiety and self-doubt. Thank you guys sm for that and thank you to @thecobrasnake for this shot.
