Officially 31 weeks this week & I can’t believe we’re at the home stretch already ! For those that didn’t see from my stories a little while ago, early stage in pregnancy I was diagnosed with an incompetent cervix meaning as babygirl grew (putting weight on my pelvis/cervix) the possibility of me going into preterm labor was very high. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In both my previous pregnancies with both Elliot (born 27 weeks at 2lbs) & Livv I already had an understanding that that might potentially happen again even with eating right & working out on a regular basis. There isn’t an exact answer on why this happens to some but there’s a solution. Fortunately opting for a cerclage where they place a small stitch on your cervix can help prevent you from going into labor; in addition to that weekly shots called progesterone ( not fun at all—painful & actually makes you extremely tired ). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With both in place babygirl & I thankfully will make it to 37 weeks ( earliest a baby isn’t considered premature ). Even though this is our 4th, as the weeks go by I still get anxious thinking about her arrival.
