This morning I woke up to a selfie sent from a friend in LA who I introduced to a friend (and amazing tour guide) I met in Marrakech hanging out together in Morocco and it made me SO happy to have a global community of good humans that I can connect with each other. Growing up in a small town without the financial privilege to travel to other countries, I spent a lot of time looking at maps and National Geographic magazines and dreaming of being able to travel far and know people everywhere - messages like I received this morning remind me that I’ve made that dream real! And then I got all nostalgic for Morocco so I started going through my photos and found this one and wanted to share it. Thank you @mustaphachouquir for showing me the best places - @vlautin I hope you have the best time!!! One of the greatest gifts of travel is getting to know people everywhere I go, and always having that feeling of home and connection when I return. I love learning about other cultures, seeing things that only a local would know about, learning how we are the same and how we are different and getting a greater perspective for what it means to be human - it makes our giant world feel a little smaller. And I LOVE capturing the memories of these places with my camera. It’s probably time to book another trip! #marrakechmedina
