3 months living with the rythm of the wind, the tides, the rain. 🌊🌼 Seeing everyday wonderful flowers, exotic ferns & unique trees. Taking care to not step on birds eggs while arriving at the beach. Not believing how this pristine nature can be real. Finding a healthy & full of life coral reef. Meeting friends at every corners & going for awesome adventures. Having a life with no keys, no lockers, always feeling safe. Losing something & having someone giving it back to you couple of days later. Enjoying so much not having a car - but also sometimes hating struggling crossing the airstrip because it feels like a triathlon when it’s windy. Some days planes are canceled, sometimes for more than a day and no one can take off / land on the big rock. Never knowing if (or when) the supply boat is coming because one single rat could be game changing. Observing & learning resilience everyday. Still pinching myself thinking how privileged I am to be here. Immensely grateful to be able to embrace completely the island life. 🏝️
